During two days the opportunity was offered to learn all aspects about HP valves, fittings and piping in urea plants, an often neglected however critical part of any urea plant. Theoretical background information was provided as well as practical maintenance hands-on training and many troubleshoot cases were discussed.During the maintenance hands-on training and the discussions of the troubleshoot cases it became clear that the safety and reliability of High Pressure Valves and Fittings depend very much on knowing the proper details. The group was kept on purpose relatively small in order to have an easy communication and give all participants the chance to participate to the maximum extend. All three workshops of BHDT were visited and several demonstrations did inform the participants the ins and outs of manufacturing high pressure valves, fittings, and pipelines. From the evaluation it can be concluded that this first 2-day Training Workshop was apprecated very much: Well done, very informative, Very good training and Only excellent.
