This invention claims when certain substances (amongst others urea) is treated with ammonia the following results are achieved:
- Ammonia reacts with the surface of the particles to form a enveloping  film of solution, the points and sharp edges go first in solution resulting in a more round particle
- Removal of ammonia at this stage results in a deposit layer
- When agitating the particles with inert material and ammonia, the particles will be covered with a inert layer
- When mineral or oil is used the product will be resistant to moisture absorption
- After treatment with ammonia the product becomes resistant to caking at changing humidity and temperature
